Enchanted Rock

enchanted_rock_landscape

Legend states Tonkawa Indians named this popular 425-foot pink granite batholith, believing a Spanish conquistador cast a spell on it, making magical ghost fires glow at the top. This rocky area is an easy outdoor climbing destination for top rope and lead climbing. As the park is littered with smaller boulders, bouldering is also available with many routes of easier difficulty.
